Seniors - The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship is ready for students to start accepting. You'll need to login at https://scholarships.adhe.edu/ and accept your scholarship. Remember, this is the scholarship we applied for in the auditorium together last semester.
If you have not applied for the scholarship, you can still do that. Use the same link and apply.
AP exams will take place from Monday, May 3 - Thursday, May 20 as shown on the schedule. Testing will be at the high school in Mrs. Patrick's room (A2). Students should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled testing time unless they are taking the digital test, they will need to arrive an hour beforehand. Students should bring a pencil and blue or black ink pen. Please remember that students will not receive weighted credit for AP courses unless that course's AP exam is taken. ACT Aspire Summative testing was this week at Bauxite High School. Students who were present each day of testing, arrived in time, and worked hard on their test using close to or all of their allotted time were placed in a drawing for a $50 gift card. Congratulations to our winners, Jayden Khamis and Hillary Perdomo! Thanks for working so hard, girls! Great time to be a Miner!!
The annual BHS Talent Show will be tomorrow at 1:00 PM in the auditorium. Cost has been lowered to $2 for students and $5 for adults.
We are excited to announce that junior Hannah Graham is being recognized by Congressman French Hill as one of this year’s Educational Awards Program recipients. The Program, instituted by Rep. Hill, is designed to recognize high school students who have shown significant commitments to academics, their school and the community.
Due to COVID-19, there is no in-person award ceremony, but Representative Hill's office made a recognition video for the students. See Bauxite's own Hannah Graham at 19:04 minutes into the video.

Juniors - Are you interested in becoming an electrician after high school? Do you want to get started on that now? ASU Three Rivers will be visiting with juniors on Tuesday, April 27th during advisory (11:30-12) to talk about their Pre-Apprenticeship program. The apprenticeship is FREE and will get you set up with the skills and tools you need for a bright future as an electrician.
ACT Aspire Testing is tomorrow and Wednesday beginning at 7:45 am for 9th and 10th grade. Please, make sure that Chromebooks are charged and ready to go.
