The inception of the Bauxite School District art show gives us opportunity to establish engagement within the community and showcase students' creativity and ingenuity. The Bauxite School District Art Department hopes to see you come to support the students and their hard work. The art show will be held at the Bauxite Community Center on Wednesday, December 7th, through Friday, December 9th. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 7th, at 6:00 p.m. with special guest speaker Mrs. Detra Gibson reading her poem "Bauxite, We Love Thy Name". The "Tell Me without Telling Me Challenge" with a Turkey Twist! BHS Marketing students have been discussing branding concepts in class. To take a break from working on the computer, they took on the trending social media challenge in a whole new light! They knocked these brands out of the park! And just in time for Turkey Day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

BHS students participated in Arts & Crafts MakerSpace in the library on Friday. They worked on a stick-together poster and colored in adult coloring books plus they made duct tape pencil holders and bookmarks, balloon animals, loom bracelets, origami, loom hats, and perler beads. #bhsminers #bxhslibrary
